Soapothecary was born out of mental health struggles, stubborn skin that refused to cooperate and the challenges of parenting. What began as a desperate attempt to find a little comfort and confidence during a very challenging season of my life somehow turned into a full-blown obsession. My products made both my skin and my sanity feel supported and I had to share that with the world somehow.
The name “Soapothecary” started out as a playful mash-up. When I started this business, the focus was purely soap. “Soap Apothecary” made perfect sense: an apothecary-inspired place for handcrafted soap with skin-loving ingredients. As the brand has expanded, the name evolved with it. Now it also reads as “So Apothecary” — a vibe that fits the broader world of the products, rituals, scents and self-care essentials we create.
It’s one name with two meanings, and both tell the story of where the brand started and where it's going. While we’re not prescribing anything at this apothecary, we are crafting tiny rituals that make your days feel less like a survival quest. Think of each product as pocket-sized reset buttons: simple, soothing and just cheeky enough to keep things interesting.
Every product is rooted in the belief that self-care doesn’t have to be complicated, serious or involve a 47-step routine from YouTube. It can be quick, fun, meaningful and genuinely restorative—even when life is chaotic, loud, messy or fueled by reheated coffee.
Soapothecary isn’t just about personal care products: It’s your invitation to turn everyday moments into tiny acts of clarity and renewal (and a little sanity, too).
